The number of people dying in Scotland is rising every year; and 90% of them need some form of palliative care.
Good end of life care means there are services to suit every community across Scotland. It means saving people from emergency admissions to hospital, when they could be at home. It means ensuring that people have the money, care and support they need, at the time they need it. And it means proper support for families, carers and friends.
But the shortfall in support is currently at a critical level, and too many people across Scotland are dying in pain, in poverty and alone.
That's why Marie Curie have created a manifesto, setting out how care and support can be improved for people across Scotland at the end of their lives. Together we can make sure palliative care is a right, not a privilege.
